Always reliable, great finish

I've ordered from LK Top Coats several times now, mostly for the Matte Top Coat and some paints. This last order was for a couple more bottles of Matte and a new bottle of LK Leather Paint in black. The consistency is always there, which I appreciate. Shipping took about 4 days to get to me in Portland, which is typical. No issues with packaging or product quality, as usual. Decent supplies, some shipping issues

I ordered the Sneaker Customization Kit and some additional Thinners. The kit itself was pretty good for the price, had everything I needed to get started on a pair of old sneakers. The paints and top coat worked as advertised. My only real gripe was with the shipping speed; it took a full week to arrive in Miami, which felt a bit long compared to other places I've ordered from. Everything was packed securely though, no leaks or damage. Overall, a solid experience but I hope shipping improves a little.

Honestly, it's a bit subjective. I find LK's top coats amazing, but for paints, Angelus is still my go-to for certain colors. LK's paint has a nice consistency though.

From my experience, the Factory Finish is pretty close to a new shoe look, especially if you're going for a subtle sheen. It's not super glossy but not totally matte either.

I'd say it's more of a semi-gloss. If you want truly factory, it's a good bet. For a bit more pop, the regular gloss is also solid.

Does anyone know if their top coats are actually waterproof once cured? Or just water-resistant?

They're definitely water-resistant, like, you can wipe them down no problem. I wouldn't go swimming in them, but for rain and spills, it holds up great.

I've had sneakers with LK top coat on them get caught in the rain, and they were perfectly fine. It's not like, completely submersible waterproof, but for everyday wear, it's solid.
